About the role
As the Head of Power Transmission & Distribution at the Design & Engineering Capability Center of an MNC, your role will involve leading the team responsible for design, engineering, and proposal engineering of High Voltage (HV) & Extra High Voltage (EHV) substations for international projects in India, Middle-East & South Asia. You will be overseeing the primary design & engineering activities including Single Line Diagram (SLD) creation, Earthling systems, Control room layout, equipment selection, Cabling design, illumination layout, and Air Insulated Substation (AIS) layouts. Your responsibilities will cover the entire project cycle from pre-bid engineering to providing support during commissioning and warranty periods. Key Responsibilities: - Develop primary design elements for substations such as SLD, Earthling, Control room, equipment, Cabling, and illumination layout - Coordinate secondary design tasks including Protection Control, Block Logic Diagrams, Relay Setting Calculations, Interconnection Diagrams, Synchro check Interfacing diagram, and Interlock logic diagram - Manage SCADA/ TFR/ DSM systems and equipment selection with freezing technical specifications - Conduct Vendor drawing review and lead Proposal Engineering activities by estimating Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and defining project scope and exclusions Qualifications Required: - Electrical Engineer with over 18 years of experience in Detailed Design & Engineering for HV power & distribution projects up to 765KV - Proficiency in System engineering aspects such as Load Flow, Short Circuit analysis, SLD creation, Protection and Control Schematic design, LT and HT drives, MV/LV Switchgear, Sizing calculations, Earthling and illumination Design, Indoor and Outdoor Cabling Layout, and Cable Block diagram - Experience working on international power projects and familiarity with international codes of practice and design standards - Understanding of interdisciplinary design aspects involving Civil & Structural, Mechanical, and Instrumentation disciplines related to electrical equipment For any queries or to apply for this position, please contact career@profileconsultantsindia.com or call +91-9773520069.
