AWS Data Engineer

As a Senior Data/Prompt Engineer at ##io, you will play a critical role in the AI and data science roadmap. You will spearhead the data architecture and work closely with the engineering team to build the backbone of AI features. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaboratively designing, building, and owning AI-powered features end-to-end - Developing and maintaining AI prompts and context designs to support robust, repeatable, powerful use-cases for end users - Implementing and supporting evaluation and observability systems for AI-powered features to ensure production quality of AI outputs - Collaboratively designing and implementing data engineering requirements in support of AI-powered features - Managing technical debt, data architecture, and system scalability in AI-powered features - Ensuring successful delivery of technical initiatives on time and with high quality - Working closely with other engineers as a team player to deliver on the AI roadmap - Contributing to and executing technical roadmaps that balance quick wins with long-term scalability - Building monitoring and observability metrics and KPIs to define benchmarks and measure effectiveness of data/AI products and initiatives - Ensuring data security, compliance, and privacy standards are maintained - Implementing processes for monitoring, alerting, and incident management - Producing high-quality software that is fully tested, code reviewed, and secure Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 4+ years of building and shipping production software in a cloud environment - 3+ years of delivering AI-powered product features - 2+ years in data engineering and data infrastructure design - Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications (prompting, tool/function calling, structured outputs, etc.) - Experience with testing practices appropriate for AI features - Strong experience in assessing and implementing different LLM-powered technologies and architectures - Strong background in AWS technologies - Strong background in software engineering with proficiency in NodeJS and Python - Strong proficiency in SQL and T-SQL - Familiarity with scrum/agile development methodologies and DevOps tools, including Git - Experience with Ruby on Rails platforms is a big plus - Strong project management skills with a focus on roadmap execution - Experience in high-growth, SaaS environments - Fast learner, analytical thinker, creative, hands-on, strong communication skills - Dedication to writing and maintaining documentation As a Senior Data/Prompt Engineer at ##io, you will play a critical role in the AI and data science roadmap.
