Job Title: Senior SQL Server & Postgres DBA Job Location-Remote Employment Type-Full Time Shift Timings:2:30 PM 11:30 PM IST (Flexible) We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SQL Server & Postgres DBA to manage and support enterprise database platforms across on-premise and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). The role is primarily centered around Microsoft SQL Server, while also requiring strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and exposure to modern cloud-native database services. The ideal candidate should operate as a cross-skilled senior DBA, capable of working across multiple database technologies, supporting both SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments in production, and contributing to cloud-native database operations. The role demands solid ownership of critical systems, along with the ability to adapt to evolving database platforms across relational and non-relational ecosystems. Key Responsibilities 1. SQL Server Administration & Production Operations - Manage end-to-end SQL Server DBA operations across development, test, and production environments - Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and environment maintenance - Lead performance tuning efforts including execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, and query optimization - Implement and support HA/DR solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, replication, clustering, and log shipping - Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery with periodic DR validations - Troubleshoot production issues including blocking, deadlocks, IO bottlenecks, and performance degradation 2.
