Quality Assurance Head - STLC Process

Key Responsibilities : QA Strategy & Leadership : - Define and own the QA strategy, test approach, and quality metrics for assigned projects. - Lead and mentor QA engineers (manual and automation) across multiple modules or projects. - Plan test cycles, resource allocation, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies. Test Management & Execution : - Oversee functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing. - Ensure timely execution of test cases and adherence to release schedules. - Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test reports. Automation & Tools : - Drive test automation frameworks and ensure optimal test coverage. - Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and best practices. Defect Management & Quality Metrics : - Ensure effective defect tracking, prioritization, and root cause analysis. - Define and track QA KPIs such as defect leakage, test coverage, automation ROI, and release quality. - Promote continuous improvement in QA processes. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management : - Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, DevOps, and Business stakeholders. - Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and release planning. - Act as the QA point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Compliance & Best Practices : - Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps best practices. - Support audits, security reviews, and compliance requirements where applicable. - Drive shift-left testing and quality engineering practices.
