Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Business Process Management (BPM) and the Appian low-code platform. This role focuses on driving digital transformation initiatives by bridging business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring efficient process automation, solution design, and the delivery of scalable Appian applications. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional business requirements. Conduct workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs to understand AS-IS processes and define TO-BE future states. Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria, acting as a trusted advisor to business and product owners. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and re-engineering, creating process maps, BPMN diagrams, workflows, and decision models. Define KPIs and ensure continuous process monitoring and optimization, leveraging Appian’s process modeling capabilities to design end-to-end workflows. Work closely with Appian developers to design and deliver solutions utilizing Appian Process Modeler, Records, Interfaces (SAIL), Reports, Integration objects (REST/SOAP APIs), Decision rules, and expression rules. Support solution design, backlog grooming, and sprint planning in Agile environments, validating solution design for alignment with business requirements. Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), User Stories, and Epics (Agile format). Ensure traceability from requirements through testing and deployment, maintaining proper documentation for compliance and audits. Work within Agile/Scrum teams as a BA or Product Owner proxy, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint demos, and retrospectives. Prioritize backlog based on business value and feasibility. Required Skills: Strong expertise in Business Process Management (BPM). Proficiency with Appian low-code platform, including Process Modeler, Records, Interfaces (SAIL), Reports, Integration objects (REST/SOAP APIs), Decision rules, and expression rules. Experience in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements (functional and non-functional). Ability to create process maps, BPMN diagrams, workflows, and decision models. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremonies. Proficiency in developing and maintaining BRDs, FSDs, User Stories, and Epics. Qualifications: Experienced Business Analyst. Ability to act as a trusted advisor to business and product owners. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
