Role Overview
This role is for a Creo Designer with significant experience in the automotive domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end product design, from concept to release, utilizing strong Creo expertise for various components including plastic, sheet metal, and casting, while ensuring alignment with manufacturing processes and GD&T standards. The position requires a strong emphasis on profile authenticity and experience-to-rate alignment. Key Responsibilities: Perform hands-on design using Creo for part, assembly, and surfacing to generate concept models. Design sheet metal and plastic parts, ensuring practical application of GD&T. Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from concept to release, including ECN/PPAP involvement. Work independently on design conceptual jobs. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers during development. Required Skills: Strong Creo expertise with in-depth validation experience, including part, assembly, and especially surfacing. Clear automotive domain relevance, with experience in components and design cycles. Practical application of GD&T. Direct work on plastic, sheet metal, and casting components. Experience in end-to-end design ownership, from concept to release, including ECN/PPAP involvement. Knowledge of phases of the design process and development process for Automotive components, including drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, prototyping, ECN, PPAP, and documenting results. Qualifications: 6-8 years of experience, with willingness to accept candidates with 4-8 years of experience. Preferred Skills: Alignment with manufacturing processes. Knowledge on different automotive product design. Experience with sheet metal press tools, fixture and gauge design, reverse engineering, Stack-Up, and VAVE.
