Role Overview

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining .NET-based applications and APIs, with a strong focus on healthcare interoperability. The successful candidate will implement and manage FHIR R4/R5 resources, build RESTful APIs for integration with EHRs and external healthcare systems, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, security, and data privacy requirements. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based applications and APIs supporting healthcare interoperability Implement and manage FHIR R4/R5 resources for clinical and administrative data exchange Build and consume RESTful APIs for integration with EHRs and external healthcare systems Work with HL7 standards (FHIR, HL7 v2) and healthcare data formats (JSON, XML) Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security, and data privacy requirements Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support CI/CD pipelines Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical documentation Required Skills: Strong experience in C, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API Hands-on experience with FHIR implementations (R4 preferred) Solid understanding of FHIR resources (Patient, Encounter, Observation, Practitioner, Condition, etc.) Experience with RESTful services, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect Proficiency in SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases Experience with JSON, XML, and healthcare data transformations Familiarity with Azure / AWS cloud services Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps or similar tools Understanding of US Healthcare workflows (Provider, Payer, Claims, Clinical data) Qualifications: 6-8 years of relevant experience Preferred Skills: Knowledge of EHR/Epic/Cerner integrations Experience with SMART on FHIR
