Sr. Network Engineer We are seeking a Level 2 Wireless Network Engineer to support, operate, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless environments across campuses, clinics, and hospital locations. The role focuses on day to day wireless operations, incident resolution, performance optimization, and lifecycle support for large scale Wi-Fi networks. Key Responsibilities Provide L2 operational support for enterprise wireless networks (Wi-Fi) across geographically distributed sites. Monitor wireless health, capacity, and performance using platforms such as Cisco DNAC, Cisco WLC, Meraki Dashboard, Ekahau, or similar tools. Troubleshoot wireless issues including connectivity drops, authentication failures, roaming issues, RF interference, and performance degradation . Support 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax wireless standards and enterprise WLAN features. Assist with AP turn ups, controller configuration changes, SSID/VLAN mapping, and access policy enforcement . Support 802.1X, guest access, and basic wireless security configurations in coordination with LAN and Security teams. Execute planned maintenance activities such as AP replacements, controller upgrades, and configuration changes during maintenance windows. Participate in incident, problem, and RCA processes , ensuring timely updates and documentation. Work closely with LAN, WAN, Security, Voice, and Site Support teams to ensure seamless end user connectivity. Follow configuration standards, documentation practices, and operational runbooks. Participate in On Call rotations as required. What Would Your Day Look Like Review wireless dashboards, alerts, and site health metrics. Handle incidents related to Wi-Fi connectivity, authentication, roaming, and performance issues . Coordinate with site teams to troubleshoot user reported wireless problems. Perform AP adds/moves/changes and support controller configuration updates. Assist with wireless upgrades, refresh activities, and validation. Document incidents, changes, and RCA inputs. Support continuous improvement of wireless stability and user experience. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Technology. 2-4 years of enterprise wireless networking experience. Hands on experience with Cisco Wireless (WLC/DNAC), Meraki Wireless, or equivalent enterprise WLAN platforms. Strong understanding of wireless fundamentals: RF basics, channels, power levels, roaming, interference. Experience troubleshooting authentication (802.1X), DHCP, VLAN, and client connectivity issues. Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident and change management. Willingness to work in on call rotations. Preferred / Nice to Have Exposure to wireless surveys and tools (Ekahau or similar). Experience in healthcare or large campus environments. Basic knowledge of LAN switching, NAC (ISE), and network monitoring tools. Wireless certifications (CWNA / CWNP / Cisco Wireless) are a plus.
