Senior Java Software Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a polyglot backend for a real estate intelligence platform. This will involve working on Java microservices for core business data, a Node.js API gateway for AI integrations, and PostgreSQL for various functionalities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop Java Spring Boot microservices using JPA/Hibernate and create RESTful APIs. - Implement Node.js/TypeScript Express server to handle AI streaming (AWS Bedrock), S3 media, and third-party proxying. - Design PostgreSQL schemas and manage Flyway migrations across a multi-service architecture. - Work with AWS infrastructure including ECS Fargate, CloudFront, ALB, Secrets Manager, IAM, RDS, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for building Docker images and deploying to ECS. Required Knowledge & Skills: - Proficiency in Java Backend development with Spring Boot. - Strong understanding of PostgreSQL including schema design, query optimization, and migrations. - Experience with AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, IAM roles/policies, CloudFront/ALB, and Secrets Manager. - Knowledge of REST API design, JWT auth, CORS, and streaming (SSE). - Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure Boards. - Ability to work within enterprise frameworks and follow release procedures. - Familiar with development environments, staging, and production workflows. - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Effective time management and multitasking abilities. - Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement. - Experience with AWS Bedrock or other LLM API integrations for streaming responses. - Proficiency in Maven multi-module projects and pnpm workspaces/monorepo setup.
