Intern's Day-to-Day Responsibilities Assist in designing and testing embedded hardware for autonomous drone systems. Develop and debug firmware using Embedded C/C++. Support PCB design, schematic capture, and component selection using KiCad or Altium Designer. Bring up prototype hardware and perform board-level debugging. Integrate sensors such as IMUs, GPS, cameras, LiDAR, and communication modules. Develop and test peripheral drivers for UART, SPI, IC, and CAN interfaces. Perform firmware flashing, hardware validation, and functional testing. Use laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies for debugging. Assemble, solder, and rework prototype PCBs when required. Conduct system integration with flight controllers, Raspberry Pi, or NVIDIA Jetson platforms. Assist in documenting hardware designs, firmware modules, and testing procedures. Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning. Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues alongside senior engineers. Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and version-controlled firmware repositories. Support prototype manufacturing, validation, and field testing activities. Stay updated with embedded systems, drone electronics, and aerospace technologies through continuous learning.
