DevOps Engineer (GCP Focus)

Location: Bengaluru US Shift Department: Engineering & Infrastructure Reports to: DevOps Lead Job Summary: The Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP Focus) will join a global DevOps function and focus specifically on Google Cloud Platform, driving automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and ensuring infrastructure reliability across the organisation. This role fosters collaboration between development and operations teams, optimising deployment velocity and system stability while leveraging GCP-native tools and services. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Experience: 5+ years in DevOps with a strong focus on GCP environments from design to go liveExperience in AWS and Azure cloud environments highly desirableHands-on experience with GCP CI/CD tools such as Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, and Artifact Registry.Expertise in Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Deployment Manager. Skills & Competencies: Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash)Excellent communication and collaboration skillsDeep understanding of GCP networking, IAM, and security best practicesProven ability to own complex GCP-based deployments and incident response Key Responsibilities: GCP DevOps Leadership: Work alongside the DevOps team in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GCP services such as Cloud Build and Cloud RunImplement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Deployment Manager for consistent GCP environments.Define and enforce standards for monitoring, alerting, and incident response using Google Cloud Operations SuiteMonitor platform performance and optimize where possibleMaintain DevOps documentation on processes and standardsBe part of an on-call rotation for priority incidents and escalation Collaboration & Delivery: Partner with Development and Platform Engineering teams to ensure smooth deployments on GCPDrive cost optimization, security, and compliance across GCP projects and workloadsChampion automation and reliability, leveraging GCP-native tools to continuously improve infrastructure deliveryWorking Conditions: Full-time.Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic global work environmentSome travel may be required depending on client engagementsAvailable to work on Rotational shifts based on the Business needsWork from office .
