About the role
As a QlikView Developer, you will play a key role in leading the team, defining reporting strategies, overseeing QlikView platform development, and driving innovation within the organization. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities: - Leadership & Team Management - Lead and mentor a team of BI developers, data analysts, and Epic reporting specialists. - Define team structure, assign responsibilities, and manage workload/prioritization. - Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and training initiatives. - Establish best practices, coding standards, and development frameworks. - Reporting Strategy & Governance - Define and implement the enterprise reporting strategy for QlikView and Epic platforms. - Establish data governance frameworks, including data quality, lineage, and ownership. - Standardize KPIs, metrics definitions, and reporting methodologies. - Ensure alignment of reporting initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. - QlikView Platform Ownership - Oversee development of scalable, high-performance QlikView dashboards and applications. - Ensure performance optimization, reusability, and maintainability of solutions. - Lead migration strategies wherever appropriate. - Epic Reporting Oversight (Good to have) - Govern reporting solutions built on: Clarity (SQL-based reporting database), Caboodle (enterprise data warehouse), Chronicles (real-time operational data). - Ensure effective use of Epic tools: Reporting Workbench, Radar dashboards, SlicerDicer. - Collaborate with Epic-certified teams to align reporting with system upgrades and enhancements. - Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Drive adoption of new BI tools and technologies (e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI). - Identify opportunities for automation, AI/ML integration, and advanced analytics. - Continuously improve reporting frameworks and user experience. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT, data science, or a relevant field. - 3+ years of experience in QlikView development. Preferred Qualifications: - Masters degree in computer science/IT, data science, or a relevant field. In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, nice-to-have skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and teamwork skills, experience with ETL processes and data integration, and familiarity with other BI technologies for similar visualization tasks.
