Role Overview: At PwC, as an Associate in the cybersecurity team, you will focus on protecting organizations from cyber threats by developing secure systems and providing proactive solutions to safeguard sensitive data. Your role will involve applying a broad understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to effectively address diverse security challenges. You will be part of a vibrant community that leads with trust and creates distinctive outcomes for clients and communities. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct initial or secondary triage of security incidents identified by internal controls or external SOC partners - Proficient in Threat Research, Incident Response, and automation workflows related to Security Operations - Author content using various query languages and scripting for event enrichment and investigation - Detect, identify, and respond to cyber events, threats, security risks, and vulnerabilities following cybersecurity policies and procedures - Conduct threat hunting and analysis using different toolsets and document the incident life cycle - Create detailed Incident Reports and contribute to lessons learned in collaboration with the team - Work with vulnerability management resources to prioritize potential risks and make recommendations to reduce the threat landscape - Collaborate with leadership and the engineering team to enhance available toolsets when necessary Qualifications Required: - Experience with one or more Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions - Understanding of common attack methods, SIEM signatures, security monitoring, Incident Response (IR), and security tools configuration - Strong knowledge of Security Event Analysis, network protocols, operating systems, web servers, databases, and security devices logs - Familiarity with String Parsing, Regular Expressions, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities - High level of personal integrity, professionalism in handling confidential matters, and sound judgment - Effective interaction at all levels with cultural sensitivity and adaptability to evolving environments - Passion for cybersecurity and commitment to contributing to a secure digital landscape (Note: The additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.)
