As a network engineer at PwC, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure transformations to ensure seamless connectivity and high availability for clients. You will work collaboratively with teams, implementing industry-leading practices for complex, multi-environmental networking engagements. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the design and delivery of enterprise network solutions encompassing routing and switching, data center, security, and hybrid cloud connectivity domains. - Supervising and mentoring junior team members, coaching them to develop technical and client service skills. - Managing client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for networking workstreams to ensure consistent delivery against expectations. - Developing and presenting network architecture recommendations, business cases, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels. - Promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team. - Maintaining adherence to project timelines and quality standards. - Analyzing and refining operational processes for effectiveness. Preferred Knowledge Areas: - Network Design & Architecture: Leading the design of scalable, resilient enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, data center, and edge environments. - Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP, RSTP, VxLAN, EVPN). - Experience with software-defined networking (SDN), intent-based networking, and network virtualization platforms (e.g., Cisco ACI, VMware NSX). - Large-scale IP Services design and configuration (e.g., IP Addressing, DNS, DHCP, etc.). - CCNP-level proficiency; CCIE preferred. Network Security: - Deep understanding of network security principles including next-generation firewalls, micro-segmentation, VPNs, and zero-trust network access. - Experience in designing and implementing network security architectures aligned to regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls). - Familiarity with identity and access management integration within network security architectures. Cloud & Hybrid Networking: - Advanced knowledge of cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP including virtual networks, transit architectures, and hybrid connectivity (e.g., ExpressRoute, Direct Connect). - Experience in designing and implementing hybrid and multi-cloud network integration patterns for enterprise clients. - Familiarity with cloud-native security controls and their application within enterprise network designs. Network Operations & Resilience: - Experience in developing network operations frameworks, runbooks, and monitoring strategies aligned to ITIL best practices. - Proficiency in network management platforms and monitoring tools; ability to define operational KPIs and reporting frameworks for clients. - Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning as it relates to network infrastructure. Client Service & Advisory Skills: - Proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders.
