About the role
9+ years of QA or testing experience, including significant experience leading ETL, data migration, or cloud data testing programs. Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL, ETL validation, source-to-target reconciliation, data quality testing, and automation using Python or other tools. Own end-to-end QA planning for data modernization initiatives across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including source-to-target validation, schema mapping, data lineage, reconciliation, and cutover testing. Define risk-based test strategies, entry and exit criteria, test governance, quality metrics, and production-readiness standards. Lead automation of data comparisons and regression checks using SQL and Python, including file, table, schema, and record-level diff validation. Establish reusable QA accelerators using widely adopted tools such as Selenium, Postman, Jenkins, Git, Jira, Azure DevOps, Beyond Compare, and WinMerge. Direct testing of ETL pipelines built with common platforms such as Informatica and dbt, and validate cloud warehouse targets including Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Databricks. Oversee downstream BI and reporting validation, including business rules, aggregations, KPIs, dashboards, and dependent data feeds. Lead, mentor, and coordinate QA engineers across parallel workstreams; establish test standards, regression suites, review practices, and delivery SLAs. Govern defect triage, root-cause analysis, release sign-off, post-production validation, and stakeholder reporting. Insurance industry background is mandatory, with understanding of insurance data domains, workflows, and regulatory or reporting considerations. Experience in QA and testing reports and dashboards using reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Desired Knowledge / Skills: Working knowledge of the Guidewire suite PolicyCenter (PC), ClaimCenter (CC), and BillingCenter (BC), or similar insurance policy, claims, and billing administration systems. Good to have understanding of overall insurance business and systems architecture, including how policy, claims, billing, and reinsurance systems integrate. Business Analyst (BA)-level understanding of insurance domain processes, functional requirements, and data mapping across insurance systems. .
