" Job Description & Summary: We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Azure ‑ first Global Capability Center (GCC) . This role is responsible for operating, optimizing, and modernizing enterprise and cloud infrastructure , with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments supporting global business platforms. The engineer will work closely with global IT, cloud, security, and application teams to ensure availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence across production environments. Responsibilities: Azure & Hybrid Infrastructure Operations Operate and support Azure infrastructure services including VMs, Storage, Networking, and identity services

Manage hybrid infrastructure integrating on ‑ prem systems with Azure cloud

Ensure high availability, performance, backup, and disaster recovery for business ‑ critical workloads

Provide L3/L2 infrastructure support , including incident, problem, and change management

Participate in on ‑ call rotations supporting global 24x7 environments

Cloud Platform & Modernization Support and maintain Azure subscriptions, resource groups, networking, and access control

Execute and support cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives

Monitor infrastructure health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting tools

Drive capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning

Automation & Infrastructure as Code Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep

Develop scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python

Improve operational efficiency through standardization and self-service tooling

Security, Compliance & Governance Implement patching, hardening, backup, and DR best practices

Support security controls, audits, and compliance requirements

Follow enterprise change, risk, and release management processes

Collaboration & GCC Ownership Work closely with global cloud, network, security, and application teams

Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and infrastructure documentation

Act as an Azure infrastructure SME within the GCC

Required Skills & Qualifications Core Infrastructure Skills Strong experience in Infrastructure / Systems / Cloud Engineering roles

Hands ‑ on expertise with:

Windows & Linux servers

Virtualization (VMware / Hyper ‑ V)

Storage, Backup, and DR solutions

Networking fundamentals (DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, TCP/IP)

Azure & Tooling Strong hands ‑ on experience with Microsoft Azure , including:

Azure VMs, VNets , NSGs, Load Balancers, Azure Storage

Azure Monitor, Log Analytics

Azure AD / Entra ID basics

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)

Familiarity with ITSM tools , monitoring, and alerting platforms

Professional Skills Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

Ability to operate in global , follow ‑ the ‑ sun delivery models

Clear communication and documentation skills

Good to Have Experience working in a Global Capability Center (GCC)

Exposure to Azure Landing Zones , enterprise-scale Azure setups

Knowledge of DevOps / automation-first infrastructure practices

Azure certifications (AZ ‑ 104, AZ ‑ 305, etc.)

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise platforms
