Mainframe Developer - JCL / COBOL / DB2

Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2 , and VSAM Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that applications meet business needs Perform system analysis , coding, testing, debugging, and documentation Optimize and enhance existing mainframe applications for performance and maintainability Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements Ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards and best practices Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5 to 10 years of experience in mainframe development Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2 , and VSAM Strong understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) Experience with mainframe tools and utilities Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services or a related industry Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools Knowledge of additional mainframe programming languages and technologies
