About the role
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with 1218 years of software development experience, including leading high-performing engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent people management skills, and experience delivering scalable, high-quality software products. This role requires close collaboration with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to drive engineering excellence and business outcomes. Roles and Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Define engineering goals, roadmaps, and execution strategies aligned with business objectives. Drive end-to-end software delivery, ensuring quality, scalability, security, and performance. Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and stakeholders to prioritize features and manage delivery timelines. Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes. Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor project risks, dependencies, and resource allocation to ensure successful execution. Hire, coach, and retain top engineering talent through regular performance reviews and career development. Promote a culture of innovation, ownership, accountability, and continuous learning. Oversee architecture discussions and technical decision-making while balancing business priorities. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 12–18 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4–6 years in engineering leadership. Proven experience managing engineering teams of 10–30+ members. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, distributed systems, and cloud technologies. Hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and DevOps practices. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and release management. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Preferred Skills Experience leading digital transformation or cloud migration initiatives. Knowledge of microservices, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes. Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. Experience with AI/ML-enabled products or data-driven platforms is an advantage.
