API Automation Test Engineer

As an ideal candidate for this role located in Chennai, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in testing. Your expertise should include strong experience in Rest Assured, API Testing, and Java. Additionally, proficiency in API testing tools like Postman is required. You should also possess good knowledge in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver with Java. The ability to write a program to retrieve/parse the Json is essential, along with a good understanding of REST API types (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE) and their working principles. Knowledge of HTTP, JSON protocol, and syntax is also expected. In this role, you will be expected to work as an individual contributor and be an expert at writing automated scripts, being 100% hands-on. Your responsibilities will include automating thousands of test cases at various complexity levels and workflows. You will also be responsible for the design, implementation, and delivery of scalable, maintainable, configurable, and robust test automation frameworks. Your role will require you to analyze and translate requirements and development stories into test scripts to ensure complete test coverage. Furthermore, you should have a strong knowledge of continuous integration tools like Hudson and Jenkins. A solid understanding of testing and automation best practices is essential. Your proven experience in functional, regression, and cross-browser testing will be valuable in this position.
