Member of Technical Staff-3 (Python)

As an individual contributor at the US based startup, you will be responsible for developing web server backends for Akridata management plane software. This software is designed to provide users with a 'single pane of glass' to manage assets, specify and monitor large volume data pipelines involving 10s of petabytes of data. Your role will involve collaborating with tech leads and the team on feature design, selecting appropriate tools and techniques for implementation, and ensuring the development of an enterprise-grade application. Additionally, you will guide and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities: - Work with tech leads and the team on feature design activities - Select appropriate tools and techniques for implementation - Independently make correct implement choices and follow sound development practices - Guide and mentor junior team members Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science with strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills - 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development with at least 3 years in web backend development - Good understanding of backend application interactions with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres - Knowledge of web server development frameworks, preferably Python - Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment Good to have: - Hands-on experience in designing database schema and implementing SQL queries for optimal performance with large datasets - Experience working with applications deployed on Kubernetes clusters - Experience with working on a product from early stages of its development, typically in a startup environment The company, founded in 2018, focuses on building an edge data platform for the autonomous world.
