Quality Engineering - Senior Automation Engineer

As a Senior Automation Engineer at Qualitest Group, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks across UI and API layers. You will be responsible for contributing to automation strategy and framework enhancements, integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Developers, QA, Product Owners, and DevOps teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across UI and API layers. - Contribute to automation strategy and framework enhancements for improved efficiency and coverage. - Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing. - Collaborate with Developers, QA, Product Owners, and DevOps teams. - Perform API and service-level validations along with UI automation. - Ensure test data preparation and backend validation using SQL. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables. - Identify automation opportunities and reduce manual regression efforts. - Troubleshoot automation failures and improve framework stability. - Drive continuous improvement in quality engineering practices. Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on experience in automation using tools such as Playwright, Cypress. - Experience with API automation and service validation. - Good programming/scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.). - Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. - Strong SQL skills for backend validation. - Understanding of Agile, DevOps, and shift-left testing practices. - Experience with Jira and test management tools. - Knowledge of version control systems (GitHub) and branching strategies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently in fast-paced Agile environments. In addition to the technical skills and experience required for the role, domain experience in Retail (3 years), eCommerce (3 years), and Logistics (1+ year) would be beneficial. Must-Have Skills: 1.
