About the role
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views. Optimize existing queries for performance and efficiency. Collaborate with data analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust SQL solutions. Design and implement ETL processes to move and transform data between systems. Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and quality checks. Maintain and improve existing databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility. Document code, processes, and data models to support scalability and maintainability. Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for improvement. Work with BI tools and support dashboard/report development as needed. Requirements 3+ years of proven experience as an SQL Developer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database systems (i.e., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle). Experience with performance tuning and optimization. Proficiency in writing complex queries and working with large datasets. Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline creation Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and BI reporting. Solid understanding of database security, backup, and recovery. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Nice To Have Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Google BigQuery, Azure SQL). Knowledge of Python, Power BI, or other scripting/analytics tools. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
