Associate Technical Architect- Full Stack

Role Summary We are looking for a frontend-first full-stack engineer who has evolved into a technical leader and is actively using AI / GenAI in real-world engineering workflows . This role requires strong product thinking, system-level design skills, and the ability to leverage AI to improve speed, quality, and decision-making not just experiment with it. You will work directly with the Tech Architect and act as a core execution and thinking partner across product, engineering, and AI-assisted development. Why This Role Is Different This is not a traditional full-stack role. We expect this engineer to: Think in user journeys, systems, and outcomes Own problems e, nd-to-end Use AI as a force multiplier not a novelty. Key Responsibilities 1. End-to-End Feature Ownership Own features from problem understanding design development delivery Break ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early. 2. Frontend-First Full-Stack Design Design scalable frontend architectures aligned with product flows Make pragmatic backend, API, and integration decisions Ensure frontend, backend, and data layers evolve together 3. AI & GenAI-Driven Engineering (Mandatory) Actively use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, etc.) in daily development workflows Apply GenAI for: Code acceleration and refactoring Test generation and validation Debugging and root-cause analysis Documentation and design drafts Evaluate where AI adds value vs where human judgment is critical 4. AI-Enabled Product Thinking (Important) Identify opportunities to embed AI/GenAI into products or internal tools Work with APIs, SDKs, or services from major LLM providers Understand limitations, costs, latency, and failure modes of GenAI systems 5. Execution & Code Quality Write clean, maintainable frontend and backend code Reduce rework through thoughtful design and AI-assisted validation Ensure production readiness and reliability 6. Technical Leadership & Communication Collaborate closely with Tech Architect, PMs, and senior engineers Push back on timelines using data and technical reasoning Escalate blockers early with potential solutions Mandatory Technical Skills Frontend (Strong Non-Negotiable) Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks (React or equivalent) Strong grasp of: Component design Complex State management Server-Side Rendering (SSR) Performance optimization UX-driven development Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive code without hand-holding. Backend & Systems (Strong Working Knowledge) Languages: Strong proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript (mandatory) and/or Python (highly preferred for AI). API Design: Experience building Microservices or Serverless functions . Understanding of Middleware, Authentication (OAuth/JWT), and Rate Limiting. Databases: Ability to write complex SQL queries and design schemas in PostgreSQL or MongoDB . Cloud & DevOps (Strong Working Knowledge) Cloud Providers: Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB) or GCP . Containerization: Proficient with Docker for local development and deployment. CI/CD: Experience configuring GitHub Actions or similar pipelines for automated testing and deployment. Monitoring: Familiarity with logging and observability tools (Datadog, Sentry, CloudWatch). AI & GenAI (Mandatory Must Be Real, Not Theoretical) Candidate must have hands-on experience with: Using GenAI tools in daily engineering workflows Prompting effectively for engineering use cases Integration: Experience using Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, or direct LLM Provider SDKs (OpenAI/Anthropic). Architecture: Understanding of Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.) and RAG patterns. Operational: familiarity with token costs, latency trade-offs, and prompt engineering for reliable JSON outputs. Candidates who only read about AI” or “attended sessions” should be rejected. Broader Tech Exposure Experience across multiple stacks, frameworks, or architectures Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and systems Experience 5–7 years of hands-on engineering experience Prior experience as a senior engineer, tech lead, or acting lead Demonstrated ownership of features or systems end-to-end Mindset & Traits (Critical) This role requires someone who: Thinks in systems, flows, and user impact Uses AI thoughtfully — not blindly Takes ownership when things are unclear or broken Challenges assumptions constructively Values clarity, accountability, and engineering discipline
