About the role

As a Sr. Specialist Engineer-Electrical at our client's organization, your role will involve leading and managing a team of electrical hardware design engineers. You will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure successful project execution. Your responsibilities will include developing project plans, setting goals, and overseeing the execution of electrical machine hardware design projects from concept to completion. Utilize your expertise in electrical engineering principles and design methodologies to develop and optimize hardware components for various types of machines. Collaborate closely with software engineering, mechanical engineering, and product management teams to integrate electrical hardware designs into overall machine systems and products. Ensure that electrical hardware designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements, and take responsibility for obtaining necessary certifications and approvals. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, quality, and innovation of electrical hardware design processes and methodologies. Maintain thorough documentation of design specifications, test results, and project progress, providing regular reports and updates to stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for cost reduction on existing hardware configurations and visiting customer places and within the group as per business needs. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of electrical hardware design engineers. - Develop project plans and oversee project execution. - Utilize expertise in electrical engineering principles and design methodologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration of designs. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Maintain thorough documentation of design specifications. - Cost reduction on existing hardware configuration. - Visit customer places and within the group as per business needs. Additional Details: - Experience: Extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in electrical hardware design, preferably in the development of machines or electromechanical systems. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Eplan P8, and PLM software for schematic and Bill of material. - Familiarity with industry standards, calculations, and regulations related to electrical machine design, such as CE, UL requirements. - Position Interfaces: Global & Local R&D team, Plant, Project Management, Installation & Commissioning team. - General Competencies: Excellent Leadership, Good Communication Skills, Ability to manage teams effectively, Proactive with strong problem-solving skills, Fast learner willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
