Location: Japan + On‑site (U.S. Power Plant Projects) + Coordination with Japan HQ

1. Role Summary

• The Assistant Electrical Field Engineer supports Mitsubishi’s electrical Technical Field Advisors (TFA) during installation, testing, and commissioning of generator‑related electrical equipment at U.S. power plant sites. • The role focuses on site execution support, progress monitoring, initial troubleshooting, and coordination between site teams, clients, and Mitsubishi coordinators. • This is a field‑oriented technical role, not a clerical position, requiring basic to intermediate understanding of generator electrical systems, testing activities, and site workflows. • The engineer represents Mitsubishi at site and ensures smooth communication, safe execution, and timely issue escalation.

1. Key Responsibilities

A. On‑Site Electrical Work Support

• Support electrical TFA activities related to generator installation, testing, and commissioning. • Coordinate closely with Mitsubishi coordinators and senior electrical field engineers regarding: • Site conditions • Daily work progress • Readiness for testing activities • Assist in ensuring site works are executed in accordance with Mitsubishi procedures and safety rules.

B. Cable Installation & Site Progress Monitoring

• Confirm and follow up on cable installation work status for generator and associated electrical systems. • Compare actual site conditions against: • Cable lists • Single‑line diagrams • Electrical schematics • Identify missing, incomplete, or incorrect installations and report to the coordinator and TFA.

C. Testing & Commissioning Support

• Confirm availability and readiness of electrical test equipment prior to test execution. • Support pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities by: • Verifying test prerequisites • Assisting during test execution as instructed • Recording observations and results • Monitor testing progress and immediately report abnormalities or delays.

D. DCS Monitoring & Initial Abnormality Response

• Monitor generator operating conditions and alarms through the DCS. • Perform initial response actions during abnormalities, including: • Alarm confirmation • Visual inspection at field • Collection of basic operational data • Escalate issues promptly to the TFA and coordinator with clear and factual information.

E. Punch List & Issue Tracking

• Monitor and update punch list items related to electrical works. • Follow up with contractors to confirm corrective actions. • Support closure verification under guidance of TFA or coordinator

F. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit: • Weekly progress reports • Incident / abnormality reports • Work time sheets during site activities • Maintain clear and accurate records of site activities and observations.

G. Site Coordination & Client Communication

• Act as a Mitsubishi site representative during daily site activities. • Support smooth communication between: • Client representatives • Contractors • Electrical TFA • Mitsubishi coordinators • Ensure information is shared clearly, accurately, and without delay.

H. Travel & Site Preparation

• Prepare for overseas business trips, including: • VISA application support • Flight and accommodation coordination • Site gate pass applications • Preparation of required PPE • Comply with all site safety, security, and company policies.

1. Technical & Professional Background

Required Technical Knowledge

• Basic to intermediate understanding of: • Generator electrical systems • Power plant electrical configurations • Electrical testing and commissioning workflows • Ability to read and interpret: • Single‑line diagrams • Electrical schematic diagrams • Cable lists and wiring schedules • Ability to: • Check operating conditions on DCS • Collect and report operational data

1. Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years of Experience in electrical testing or site work at one or more of the following:

• Power plants • Electrical substations • Power transmission projects

• Preferred Experience

• Practical experience in: • Power plant electrical testing • Generator commissioning support • Exposure to generator products or systems from: • Mitsubishi, GE, Siemens, Alstom • Prior overseas or U.S. project experience is an advantage

1. Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or diploma in one of the following:

• Electrical Engineering • Power Engineering • Electrical & Electronics Engineering • Instrumentation / Control Engineering (with strong electrical exposure)

1. Language & Communication

• English communication skills (spoken and written) required • Ability to: • Communicate technically with site teams and clients • Write clear reports and emails • Japanese language ability is preferred but not mandatory
