About the role
Job Requirements Roles & Responsibilities:
• Utilize analytical tools (process simulation, data analytics etc.) to uncover technical insights, troubleshooting issues, recommend improvements, and drive optimization opportunities • Support initiatives focused on energy efficiency, yield improvement, cost reduction, and sustainability • Maintain detailed process simulation models to evaluate operating scenarios effectively • Perform energy utilization analysis, material balance assessments, benchmarking and identification of unit improvement opportunities • Understand technical summaries, data sheets, and engineering documentation as per workflow requirements. • Participate in review meetings and provide support to clients
Work Experience Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of refinery and petro-chemical units • Experience in working with process monitoring tools, acquisition from data historians, and process modeling software such as SeeQ, PI, Hysys etc. • Experience in performing analytical calculations • Ability to interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, HMB, process datasheets and equipment design documents. • Awareness of process safety management concepts and principles such as Process Hazard Analysis, Integrity Operating Windows etc. • Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills. • Attention to detail and strong data discipline. • Team-oriented with good coordination skills. • Ability to work under minimal supervision while delivering high-quality output.
Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Chemical Engineering • Minimum 7 years of total work experience • Minimum 3 years experience in technical services • Experience in one (or more) of the units is mandatory - FCCU, Delayed Coker, Alkylation, Hydrocracker, CDU/VDU, NHT - Isomerization, Hydroprocessing, Aromatics, Polymers, Olefins.
