About the role
As a Multimedia Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving multimedia feature development, integration, and delivery on Android-based platforms. Your technical expertise and project management skills will be essential for collaborating with global engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of multimedia projects. Here are the key responsibilities for this role: - Lead multimedia feature development, integration, and product delivery activities. - Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications. - Coordinate with Audio, Video, Camera, Display, Codec, and System Software teams. - Track feature development, bug fixes, validation activities, and release readiness. - Drive issue resolution and ensure project goals are achieved on time. - Gather customer requirements and define implementation strategies. - Coordinate multimedia software integration on Android platforms. - Monitor project health metrics and provide regular status updates. - Support release planning, regression tracking, and defect management. - Facilitate technical discussions and align teams on priorities and deliverables. - Ensure compliance with quality standards and development processes. In terms of qualifications, the following technical expertise and skills are required for this role: - Android Multimedia Architecture knowledge. - Proficiency in Audio, Video, Camera, Display, Codec, or Streaming Technologies. - Familiarity with Android Framework & Multimedia Stack. - Understanding of Multimedia Pipelines, Codecs, Media Playback & Recording System. - Experience with Linux & Embedded System. - Ability in Multimedia Debugging & Performance Analysis. - Knowledge of Agile Software Development Methodologies. - Proficiency in Project Management including Project Planning & Execution, Risk Management & Mitigation, Stakeholder Communication, Cross-functional Team Coordination, and Defect & Release Management. - Experience with Executive Status Reporting. Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred: - Experience with Snapdragon Platform. - Familiarity with Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) and Camera HAL, Audio HAL, Display Framework, or Video Processing. - Knowledge of Jira & Confluence. - Understanding of Multimedia Validation & Certification Processes. - Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile Certification would be beneficial for this role.
