Job Requirements Overview

We are seeking a skilled Robotics & Automation Engineer to design, integrate, and commission robotic automation systems for modern logistics, warehouse automation, and intralogistics environments. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on experience with industrial robots - particularly ABB robots, with a solid understanding of automation systems, software integration, and commissioning activities.

This role involves working on international projects, supporting the deployment of advanced robotic solutions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, and commission industrial robotic systems, primarily using ABB. • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot robotic applications for logistics and intralogistics processes • Integrate robots with conveyors, ASRS systems, warehouse automation equipment, vision systems, and third-party software platforms • Perform on-site and remote commissioning of robotic and automation systems • Support software commissioning activities, including system integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting • Configure and validate communication between automation equipment and higher-level software systems • Work with APIs and software interfaces to enable data exchange between robotic systems, WMS/WCS platforms, WES systems, and other applications • Understand and utilize JSON-based data structures and HTTP-based communication mechanisms • Support development and testing of automation workflows involving REST APIs and industrial communication protocols • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, controls, and software engineering teams

Prepare technical documentation, commissioning reports, and user documentation

Key Projects & Deliverables

• Deployment of robotic automation solutions for: • Warehouses and distribution centers • Intralogistics and material handling systems • Automated sorting and packaging systems • Integration of robotic cells with: • PLC Controllers

o Warehouse Execution Systems (WES)

Work Experience Technical Skills

• Strong experience with ABB robot programming and commissioning • Experience with other robot brands such as Stäubli , KUKA, Fanuc, Yaskawa, Universal Robots or Omron is considered a strong advantage • Understanding of robotic system integration and troubleshooting • Working knowledge of PLC programming, preferably Siemens TIA Portal / S7 • Ability to read, understand, and modify PLC code during commissioning activities • Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, and TCP/IP • Basic knowledge of: REST APIs, JSON data structures, HTTP requests and communication principles, System-to-system integrations • Ability to analyze communication between industrial equipment and software platforms • Basic knowledge of SQL, C#, or similar technologies is considered an advantage

Engineering Competencies

• Commissioning and troubleshooting of automation systems • Root-cause analysis and problem solving • Understanding of automation architecture and system integration • Technical documentation and validation
