Senior QA Engineer - Automation

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud platforms (Azure or OCI) , API testing , and test automation using Python and Selenium WebDriver . This role requires ownership, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive quality across the SDLC. Key Responsibilities Take end-to-end ownership of quality for assigned modules/projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies (functional, regression, integration, API, and automation). Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Python-based frameworks. Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python and Selenium WebDriver . Work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams in Agile/Scrum environments. Ensure test coverage, defect tracking, root cause analysis , and reporting with clear accountability. Validate applications deployed on Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) . Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and support automated test execution. Identify opportunities for process improvements, test optimization, and automation enhancement . Mentor junior QA members and promote best QA practices and standards . Desired Skills & Qualifications Core QA Skills Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC , and Agile processes. Experience in test planning, execution, defect management , and reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Cloud Technology (AWS/Azure / OCI) Hands-on experience testing applications deployed on: AWS or Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, etc.) OR Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Understanding of cloud architecture, deployment pipelines, and environments . Exposure to monitoring/logging tools in cloud ecosystems . API Testing Strong experience in REST API testing . Hands-on with tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Python libraries (requests/pytest) . Ability to validate JSON/XML responses, authentication, and performance . Automation Skills Proficiency in Python programming language . Experience with Selenium WebDriver (latest versions) for UI automation. Hands-on experience with PyCharm IDE . Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks (PyTest, unittest, or similar). Familiarity with data-driven testing, BDD frameworks is a plus. DevOps & CI/CD Experience integrating tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) . Familiarity with version control systems (Git) .
