Security Engineer - Azure/ M365

As part of our Global IT & Innovation team, you will help protect and strengthen the internal and customer-facing platforms and data that support Sales, Delivery, Finance, and Operations across the organization.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Security Engineer based in India with strong hands-on experience securing Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and SaaS environments. This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who enjoys monitoring and responding to security events, improving organizational security posture, supporting ISO 27001 compliance, and collaborating with global teams.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work in the Hyderabad office 3-4 days per week.

What You’ll Do

• As a Security Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting, monitoring, and strengthening our cloud and SaaS environments:

• • Monitor, triage, and respond to security-related events and alerts across our cloud and SaaS environments.

• • Improve the overall security posture of the organization across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and other SaaS providers.

• • Administer and tune Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) to strengthen threat detection and response.

• • Manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID, including conditional access and least-privilege practices.

• • Ensure adherence to and evidence collection required for ISO 27001 certification and ongoing compliance.

• • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and baseline configurations.

• • Track and drive remediation of vulnerabilities and security risks to closure.

• • Support incident response, investigations, and root-cause analysis.

• • Partner with US- and India-based stakeholders across Sales, Delivery, Finance, and Operations.

• • Stay current with emerging security threats, tools, and best practices.

• Required Qualifications

• • 5+ years of experience in information security or cloud security.

• • Strong hands-on expertise in:

• • Microsoft Azure security

• • Microsoft 365 security and compliance

• • SaaS security administration

• • Proven experience in security monitoring and incident response.

• • Hands-on experience with:

• • Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)

• • Microsoft Entra ID

• • Security and compliance frameworks

• • Working knowledge of ISO 27001 controls and audit evidence requirements.

• • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with global (US and India) teams.

• • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• • Ability to work partial US Central time hours

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

• Nice to Have

• • Security certifications such as:

• • Microsoft SC-200, SC-300, or AZ-500

• • CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Implementer

• • Familiarity with Azure security services such as:

• • Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Defender for Endpoint

• • Azure Key Vault and Microsoft Purview

• • Microsoft Entra ID Protection and Conditional Access

• • Experience with vulnerability management and penetration testing tools.

• • Exposure to Microsoft enterprise platforms (M365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Business Central).

• • Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, KQL).
