Description:
Coordinates, manage, and designs database structures across multiple database platforms. Monitor and tune the application databases and establish communication links across Database Management Systems. Assists technical support and staff/vendors with installations, upgrades, or troubleshooting problems relating to the database environment.
Responsibilities
-
Install and upgrade Oracle database-related software
-
Create, review, and quality check new databases, database storage structures, database replication, and database security like Database Vault, Redaction, and Fine Grain Auditing.

Monitor and optimize the performance of the database
-
Tune instance components, including SQL and PL/SQL statements
-
Maintain migrations and Overlays of Oracle databases across the enterprise.

Supporting Database instance running in AWS (EC2 & RDS) Environment
-
Maintain and support High available environment
-
Develops and maintains database documentation
-
Performs root cause analysis of infrastructure problems; identifies solutions and makes recommendations; takes appropriate remedial steps towards resolution

Provide plan and support of database backup and recovery strategies
-
Participates in implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans
-
Maintains established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
Qualifications

Must-Have
-
Five years of Information Technology experience working in the generation, installation, and maintenance of resident software packages, at least three years has been administering server-based Oracle databases
-
Must have experience creating and working with different database backup and recovery strategies.
-
Must have extensive experience working with SQL analysis, performance, debugging, and recommendations
-
Must have Oracle migration experience from one version to another
-
Strong Oracle troubleshooting and analytical skills
-
Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c database software and features
-
Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c RAC, and Cluster ware
-
Experience with OEM and management packs
-
Experience with vendor products used to support the database, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Security, RMAN, and Active Directory
-
Experience with ASM and Dataguard
-
Experience working on various systems on a Microsoft platform and Linux Experience developing
-
documenting, and enforcing DBA standards
-
Experience with Oracle Database Vault, Data Redaction, and Fine Grain Auditing. Unix/Linus shell scripting experience
-
Experience with RMAN backup and recovery Experience with AWR, Statspack, and Tkprof
-
Experience collaborating and managing database in AWS environment
