Job Description OPA Developer Job Title: OPA Developer Location: Remote Experience: 8- 12+ Years Joining Preference: Immediate Joiners Preferred Job Summary We are seeking an experienced OPA (Open Policy Agent) Developer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade authorization solutions using Open Policy Agent (OPA). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering end-to-end OPA implementations, developing Rego policies, integrating OPA SDKs, and modernizing enterprise authorization frameworks. A strong background in .NET Core, REST APIs, JSON, JWT, and scripting is essential. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement policy-based authorization solutions using Open Policy Agent (OPA). Build and integrate OPA SDKs with enterprise applications and services. Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot complex Rego policies. Configure and work with OPA APIs, including: Bundle API Status API Decision Logs API Develop automation and synchronization utilities using Python, PowerShell, and Unix Shell scripting. Convert legacy authorization models into OPA-compatible JSON structures. Support enterprise-scale authorization data migration and modernization initiatives. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET Core. Collaborate with architects, security teams, and application developers to implement scalable, secure, and high-performance authorization solutions. Troubleshoot authorization issues and optimize policy performance across enterprise applications. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of overall software engineering experience (10+ years preferred). Proven hands-on experience working on Open Policy Agent (OPA) projects. Must have completed at least one end-to-end OPA implementation in a production environment. Strong experience developing and integrating OPA SDKs. In-depth knowledge of OPA architecture, administration, and APIs. Strong expertise in Rego policy development, debugging, and optimization. Hands-on experience with: Python PowerShell Unix Shell Scripting Experience with relational databases and large-scale data migration. Experience converting legacy authorization models into OPA-compatible JSON. Strong knowledge of .NET Core REST APIs / Web Services JSON JWT Rego Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC) or Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC). Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience in IAM (Identity & Access Management) and authorization modernization initiatives. Experience supporting enterprise security, governance, and access control programs. Knowledge of DevSecOps and secure software development practices. OPA and/or cloud platform certifications are an added advantage. Educational Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Preferred Certifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Azure Certifications Open Policy Agent (OPA) certifications (if available) Relevant cloud or security certifications NOTE: This is a highly specialized OPA development role. Candidates with real-world production experience implementing Open Policy Agent will be prioritized over candidates with only IAM or security backgrounds.
