About the role
As a Software Engineer at R3, you will play a crucial role in building platforms for the future world financial system. You will work with a multidisciplinary engineering team, collaborating closely with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, Solutions Architects, and Application Engineers to deliver innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Building large scale distributed systems and architecture for the platform - Developing software increments independently to a production standard - Writing Java/Kotlin code and integrating it with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Collaborating effectively in a cross-disciplinary team setup - Owning the delivery of software increments end-to-end by writing and owning tests - Having a flexible mindset and a willingness to learn Qualifications required for this role include: - 2+ years of experience in a software engineering role, preferably building a SaaS or Platform product - Depth of expertise in Java or Kotlin with a basic understanding of managing infrastructure, containerization, and deployments - Experience in developing Distributed Systems and Microapps/Microservices - Familiarity with the basics of Kubernetes concepts R3 is a leading enterprise technology firm focused on digital solutions for regulated financial markets.
