Product Designer

As a Design Head at our company, you will play a crucial role in leading the design department independently. Your strong leadership and team handling abilities will be essential in overseeing the design team effectively. It is important that you have practical manufacturing exposure, not just software knowledge, and are comfortable with a 10-hour duty schedule. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design department with a focus on tablet tooling design, including punch & die tooling, pharma tooling components, and tooling development - Utilize CAD software expertise in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo for 2D drafting and 3D modeling - Apply mechanical design engineering skills to work on mechanical components, industrial design, and engineering drawings - Demonstrate CNC machining knowledge by understanding CNC manufacturing, machining processes, and tooling materials - Ensure technical drawing & tolerancing accuracy by following GD&T, tolerances, specifications, and revision control - Manage pharma engineering exposure related to GMP compliance and pharmaceutical equipment/tooling - Drive design modification & development activities for product improvement, customer customization, and tooling enhancement - Coordinate with manufacturing for production coordination, QC coordination, and cross-functional collaboration - Exhibit leadership & team handling capabilities by managing design engineers/draughtsman and providing mentorship - Solve problems and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, utilizing analytical skills and driving process improvement Qualifications Required: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or related Mechanical/Production Engineering field - Minimum 3+ years of experience in tablet tooling design, CAD software expertise, mechanical design engineering, CNC machining knowledge, technical drawing & tolerancing, pharma engineering exposure, design modification & development, manufacturing coordination, leadership & team handling, and problem solving & troubleshooting We are seeking a candidate with expertise in tablet tooling or pharma engineering manufacturing industry, specifically in AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Creo, CNC manufacturing, and technical drawing accuracy. Your ability to lead the design department and collaborate with production, QC, and sales teams will be crucial.
