Principal Designer - BIM, Structures- C&R, REC

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Precast Concrete and Steel Modeller to create accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings for precast concrete and structural steel projects using Tekla Structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction drawings, BIM workflows, and industry standards, and will work closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and production teams to ensure high-quality project delivery. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 3D models of precast concrete and structural steel components using Tekla Structures. Prepare GA (General Arrangement) drawings, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection drawings. Produce accurate reinforcement detailing for precast concrete elements. Generate fabrication drawings, material take-offs, and Bills of Materials (BOM). Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and other disciplines to resolve clashes and design issues. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements before modelling. Maintain modelling standards and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes. Participate in BIM coordination meetings and perform clash detection when required. Revise models and drawings based on design changes and client comments. Ensure timely completion of modelling and detailing deliverables while maintaining quality standards. Support production, fabrication, and site teams by addressing technical queries. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. 4-8 years of experience in Tekla Structures modelling and detailing (experience requirement may vary). Proficiency in Tekla Structures for precast concrete and structural steel modelling. Strong knowledge of structural drawings and construction practices. Understanding of reinforcement detailing and steel connection detailing. Familiarity with international standards such as ACI, Eurocode, BS, or AISC is an advantage. Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate and work in large and diverse project teams. Excellent English communication skills - written & spoken. Preferred Skills Experience with BIM workflows and coordination. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Navisworks. Experience with IFC model coordination and model exchange.
