Lead Software Engineer

As an experienced software developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of products and features. Your responsibilities will include: - Owning product/feature development end-to-end, from design to production deployment. - Ensuring that features are scalable, highly available, and meet quality standards. - Collaborating with senior engineers and architects to refine designs and drive implementation. - Leading cloud-scale, event-driven systems using tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and working with knowledge. - Building scalable microservices and designing real-time data pipelines. - Leading APIs-based inter-service communication using RESTful, GraphQL, WebSockets, etc. - Ensuring security, cloud optimization, and performance of applications by owning vulnerability fixes and cloud cost tuning. - Executing project plans and delivery commitments with a balance of speed and stability. - Contributing to hiring, mentoring, and nurturing technical talent to foster a high-performance engineering culture. - Defining test plans, authoring, automating, and executing test cases to meet quality gates. - Taking proactive ownership in production troubleshooting and system reliability improvements. - Championing best practices in software engineering, security, maintainability, CI/CD, and performance. Qualifications required for this role are: - 7 to 10+ years of professional software development experience. - Minimum 3 years of experience in system design, architecture, and building scalable services. - Proficiency in at least 1 programming language, 1 scripting language, and 1 frontend framework such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or C++, Vue.js with TypeScript, Node.js, .NET Core. - Demonstrated experience in interviewing, mentoring, and building high-performing engineering teams. - Deep understanding of event-driven architectures with tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalents. - Strong database experience across both SQL and NoSQL systems. - Hands-on experience with cloud-native services, containerization, and serverless deployments. - Implementation of security best practices and direct ownership of vulnerability remediation. - Ownership over testing metrics, including unit test automation, integration testing, code coverage, and performance/NFR compliance. - Experience collaborating with product managers, architects, and delivery teams; acting as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders.
