About the role
Position: Gearbox CAE (TT610ST RM 4249) Note – Candidate should be from automotive domain and Design background. Key Responsibilities/Tasks Modelling and analyzing transmission systems through 3D FEM Modelling using Altair HyperWorks. Analysing powertrain components for loads, stresses, and Lifetime. Calculating housing and other transmission components for hybrid and electric powertrain designs using simulation tools. Preprocessing of geometry in Altair HyperMesh/SimLab. Defining boundary conditions, perform Postprocessing and check for plausibility and Interpretation of simulation results. Creating reports according to Magna Powertrain specifications and templates, including recommendations and proposals for design optimization. Writing technical documents and presenting the results in an efficient manner. Required Skills Working principle of transmission systems. Basic structural durability understanding. Knowledge in Strength of Materials, FEM, Fatigue analysis. Knowledge in linear & non-linear CAE simulations Required Tool Knowledge Hypermesh, Simlab, Hyperview, Optistruct, Abaqus, Abaqus CAE/Viewer(optional) FEMFAT for break & fatigue analysis
