Join us as an Infrastructure Engineer, AWS Join us and collaborate in building the best possible database platforms for public and private cloud environments Improve our products as you apply automation to provide testing and a route to live This is your chance to share thought leadership and best practice across the bank, while youre developing solutions We're offering this role at vice president level What you'll do As an Infrastructure Engineer, youll take the lead on designing intuitive, self-service database products that make all the difference to our customers, as well as our strategic targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a highly innovative and supportive environment. Youll design and deliver secure, compliant and resilient AWS based cloud infrastructure, embedding guardrails across IAM, encryption, monitoring, and automated compliance while ensuring optimal TCO. Youll shape the cloud platform roadmap, advising on solution architecture and driving selfservice, observability, containers and serverless capabilities aligned to enterprise and well architected standards. Youll also lead automation, DevOps, FinOps, and resilience through IaC, CI/CD, cost optimisation and highly available multi AZ and multiregion architectures. Youll also Identify new ways to solve problems and enhance performance using tech tools Provide operational support for pattern or product-related issues, and contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions Build awareness of design-thinking tools and techniques across the bank to improve products Work with key stakeholders to ensure that we continue to deliver the best possible service The skills you'll need To thrive in this role, youll have experience in software development or automation scripting, such as Python or Shell. Youll need at least twelve years of experience with expertise across AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, Lambda, EMR, MWAA, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, and AI services, with the ability to design serverless and containerbased solutions aligned to the AWS WellArchitected Framework and enterprise standards. Youll need strong capability in DevOps and automation through CI/CD, observability and IaC like Terraform or CloudFormation while driving cloud security, compliance, FinOps, and cost optimisation. Youll also need experience in designing highly available, faulttolerant and disaster recovery ready architectures at scale. In addition, youll have: Experience of the development of CI or CD pipelines using contemporary tooling Experience in software testing practices and tools, as well as observability tools and techniques to continuously improve solutions Private and public cloud technology knowledge covering AWS, Linux and modern database technologies Experience of working with technology deployed in a private cloud Strong team-oriented and communication skills, and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly Hours 45 Job Posting Closing Date 31/07/2026 .
