As a Lead AI Engineer at RealPage, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategy, architecture, and delivery of Agentic and Generative AI solutions across the PropTech portfolio. Your responsibilities will include: - Technical Strategy & Architecture: - Own the end-to-end architecture for AI products and platforms, including model selection strategy, multi-agent patterns, and data architecture. - Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies such as next-generation LLMs and multimodal models. - Platformization & Reusable Capabilities: - Design and lead the implementation of shared AI services and SDKs, including reusable RAG pipelines and common UI components. - Establish standards and best practices for prompt design, model evaluation, and observability of AI systems. - Leadership & Mentoring: - Provide hands-on technical leadership to AI Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists. - Mentor team members in LLMs, RAG, agentic design, and production AI practices. - Delivery & Stakeholder Management: - Partner closely with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases and shape product roadmaps. - Lead complex, cross-functional AI projects from concept to production, ensuring on-time delivery and quality. - Evaluation, Governance & Responsible AI: - Define robust evaluation frameworks and drive AI governance practices. - Collaborate with security, privacy, and legal teams to ensure compliant AI solutions. - Performance, Reliability & Cost Management: - Lead performance and cost optimization for AI systems. - Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks related to scalability and data quality. Qualifications for this role include: - Typically 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, ML Engineering, or Data Science. - Deep expertise in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, cloud-native systems, and containerization. - Proven track record of architecting and shipping complex AI systems, leading multi-engineer initiatives, and making data-driven tradeoffs. - Advanced experience with LLM-based application design, RAG architectures, and AI observability frameworks. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice-to-Have Skills / Abilities: - Experience with coding assistants like Windsurf, Cursor, Codex, and working with multimodal and real-time agents. - Background in AI experiment tracking, data platforms, browser automation software, and designing AI products in regulated domains.
