Key Responsibilities: - Architect and design highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Oracle Enterprise Database and open source technologies such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB - Analyze and resolve application availability and performance issues related to database infrastructure - Identify root causes of database infrastructure issues and recommend corrective actions - Lead infrastructure project teams in scoping, design, and project work estimations - Participate in project meetings, provide input on design and implementation of database solutions - Own responsibility for technical platform, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with organizational standards - Collaborate with Cyber Security to ensure database security standards are met - Provide mentorship and guidance to team colleagues - Stay current with trends and incorporate emerging technology for on-premise and cloud solutions Qualifications Required: - 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Enterprise database administration - Hands-on experience with MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB - Strong PL/SQL skills, query performance analysis, and index optimization - Experience with database security practices, backup and recovery standards, patching, and performance monitoring - Knowledge of NoSQL databases and ability to optimize complex queries - Understanding of networking concepts and information security best practices - Scripting experience in bash, python, Ansible, chef, or similar tools - Familiarity with Git or other source/version control products and Agile methodologies - Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills Please note that while a Bachelor's Degree is preferred, Comcast also considers applicants with a combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
