About the role

As a System Architect at the Enterprise Services - Treasury, Real Estate, and Audit Value Stream, you will play a crucial role in defining and communicating a shared architectural vision to support current and future business needs. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with Agile teams, validating technology assumptions, evaluating alternatives, and working closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver solutions aligned with broader architecture guardrails. Additionally, you will be involved in business analysis planning, requirements elicitation, management, and communication, as well as enterprise analysis and solution assessment on large projects following Eaton PROLaunch project management standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and participate in planning, development, and high-level design of product solutions and architectural alternatives. - Enable a continuous delivery pipeline by establishing proper design guidelines. - Define system interfaces, data structures, storage, integrations, cybersecurity considerations, test automation concepts, and deployment approaches. - Establish critical non-functional requirements and consider economic boundaries in design decisions. - Participate in solution planning, incremental planning, product demos, and inspect-and-adapt events. - Plan and develop the architectural runway to support desired business outcomes. - Provide technical oversight, promote security, quality, and automation. - Negotiate with the business to prioritize non-functional work to reduce technical debt over time. - Conduct requirements gathering activities and ensure alignment with business objectives and solution design. - Communicate requirements in a format understandable to stakeholders. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent level of education. - 10+ years of experience in the software industry with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products. Skills: - Extensive experience in software engineering best practices. - Proficiency with Treasury, Audit systems, and associated development languages and platforms. - Expertise in Java, C#, C++, and associated IDEs (Visual Studio, Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.). - Strong knowledge of software design principles, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and modern development principles. - Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, hashing, certificates, PKIs, Threat Modeling, secure coding, and OWASP. - Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). - Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and decision-making skills. - Experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations, and teams.
