Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior CI/CD & AI-Enabled DevOps Engineer at Regnology, you will be responsible for taking ownership of the developer platform and CI/CD ecosystem. Your role involves driving the evolution of these systems towards a highly automated, AI-augmented engineering environment. You will act as a technical leader, shaping architecture, best practices, and the adoption of up-to-date technologies within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Own the design, evolution, and reliability of the CI/CD and developer platform architecture. - Evaluate and introduce new CI/CD, platform engineering, and AI-driven technologies, setting technical direction and standards. - Lead the implementation of AI-powered developer productivity solutions, including internal AI agents for CI/CD pipelines, incident resolution, and operational automation, as well as intelligent assistants to improve developer workflows and reduce cognitive load. - Define and implement patterns for integrating AI using Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar frameworks, ensuring secure and scalable interactions between LLMs and internal systems. - Drive the development of a self-service internal developer platform, enabling teams to deploy, test, and operate services independently. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, promoting best practices in DevOps, platform engineering, and AI adoption. - Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex system and infrastructure issues, acting as an escalation point. - Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, security, and product teams to improve developer experience, system reliability, and delivery speed. - Define and enforce observability, reliability, and cost optimization strategies. - Ensure secure adoption of AI technologies, including governance, compliance, and data protection. - Drive documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives across the platform. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar. - 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or Platform Engineering, with demonstrated ownership of production systems. - Strong expertise in CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins), Linux, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE, Docker, Helm). - Proven experience designing and operating scalable, reliable distributed systems. - Strong experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic) and performance tuning. - Solid understanding of security best practices (IAM, secrets management, encryption, zero-trust principles). - Strong programming/scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
