React Engineer

Role Overview: You will be working as a freelance Full Stack Engineer specializing in React and Supabase for a RegTech SaaS platform focused on outsourcing and third-party risk management for Banks and NBFCs. The engagement involves stabilizing the existing codebase, focusing on data persistence, authentication, roles, and Postgres Row-Level Security, followed by security hardening and production readiness phases. This is not a greenfield project, but rather a fix-and-harden engagement. Key Responsibilities: - Stabilize the foundation by ensuring reliable data persistence, fixing authentication and session handling, implementing Postgres Row-Level Security policies, and resolving assorted front-end issues. - Implement security hardening measures such as RBAC enforcement, data isolation via RLS, audit logging, secure document storage, and secrets management, in preparation for external penetration testing. - Prepare for production readiness by setting up automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, staging/production environments, monitoring, backups, performance optimization, and data residency compliance. Qualifications Required: - Strong experience with Supabase, including Postgres, Auth, Storage, and Edge Functions. - Proficiency in PostgreSQL, specifically in designing and debugging Row-Level Security policies. - Solid background in React and TypeScript, with the ability to work within an existing component codebase. - Demonstrated experience in debugging and hardening inherited/existing codebases. - Previous experience in RegTech/fintech or other regulated industries is preferred. - Knowledge of security practices such as RBAC, audit logging, encryption, and penetration-test readiness. - Experience with AI integration and retrieval, as well as taking a product to production using CI/CD, monitoring, and backups.
