Design Manager

Design Product Development Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design of mechanical seals, seal support systems, metal bellows, and bearing seals. Oversee and mentor a team of design engineers and RD specialists. Ensure all designs meet functional, reliability, and manufacturability standards. Approve drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation for production and customer submissions. Project Customer Interface: Translate customer specifications and application requirements into optimized design solutions. Support the sales and applications teams with technical design inputs and customizations. Ensure timely design delivery in line with project milestones. RD and Innovation: Manage the RD pipeline for new products, performance improvements, and cost optimization. Drive the adoption of new materials, design methods, and test validation processes. Coordinate with testing and manufacturing teams for prototype development and validation. CAD, PDM Business Systems Management: Ensure consistent use of Solid Edge for 3D modeling and drafting. Manage design data and workflows through PDM systems. Integrate and align engineering activities with SAP systems for BOMs, materials, and production planning. Process, Standards Compliance: Develop and enforce design processes, quality standards, and documentation protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant industry and internal standards (API, ISO, etc.). Conduct regular design reviews and risk assessments.
