About the role
As a Process Technologist at this company, your role will involve executing operational plans for both established and novel product/technology projects. You will evaluate new technologies, provide suggestions for process improvement based on benchmarking analyses, and assist in pilot activities and plant trials. Your primary goal will be to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and product innovation in alignment with the company's Technology Strategy, central procedures, and guidelines. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in identifying opportunities for process improvements and assist in achieving higher capacities. - Conduct root cause analyses to understand intricate process and engineering challenges and provide recommendations. - Support Senior Technologist in identifying enhancements and upgrades in current processes, equipment, and technologies to achieve higher production capacities and enhanced process efficiencies. - Assist in implementing improvement projects to ensure alignment with the technology strategy and operating plan. - Collaborate in evaluating catalysts, chemicals, and additives to optimize processes and product quality. - Contribute to conducting pilot studies and scaled-up implementations, providing valuable insights for technological advancements. - Work with R&D teams to facilitate scale-up and plant-level trials, managing pilot studies and ensuring adherence to milestones. - Execute commercial plant trials, validate emerging technologies, and oversee the transition from laboratory testing to full-scale production. - Perform simulations and APC models to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and proactively address potential challenges. - Create quarterly product performance benchmarking reports and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Qualification Required: - Education Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. - Experience: 4-8 years of relevant industry experience in process technology, chemical engineering, in Refining or Petrochemical Industry. In this role, you will need knowledge and competencies in product technology & advancement, latest tools & simulation studies, product development, application of science & engineering principles, Modelling Standards, Project Standards, Project Execution Standards, Plant HSE use cases, Process Optimization, and Innovation Management.
