As a Senior QA Automation Engineer specializing in Java Selenium/ Playwright, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of a Product-based company's SaaS HRMS applications tailored for public sector organizations. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading end-to-end automation testing using Selenium WebDriver with Java and supporting manual testing workflows. - Designing, developing, and maintaining robust, reusable test automation frameworks for web applications. - Creating and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and manual/automated scripts for maximum coverage. - Identifying, isolating, and documenting bugs in collaboration with developers for timely resolution. - Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and working closely with DevOps for streamlined deployments. - Performing cross-browser and cross-platform testing using tools like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs. - Conducting API testing (manual and automated) with tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar. - Supporting performance testing efforts to ensure optimal application behavior under load, using tools like JMeter. - Championing best practices in BDD/TDD, test data management, defect reporting, and test metrics tracking. - Actively contributing to Agile ceremonies and mentoring junior QA engineers to ensure QA standards are consistently met. Qualifications required for this role include: - 6+ years of Software QA experience, with at least 3+ years in Selenium WebDriver automation using Java. - Expertise in Java programming with strong OOP principles and building automation scripts and frameworks. - Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, and BDD tools such as Cucumber. - Proficiency in manual testing techniques like exploratory, regression, functional, and integration testing. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker. - Experience with API testing and validation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar. - Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter is advantageous. - Experience testing in cloud-based or virtual test environments like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc. - Understanding of Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. - Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. - Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
