Hiring Product Manager, Fraud and Compliance @Remote.com

Role Description This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Senior Product Manager, Fraud and Compliance, joining the Fintech area. As Remote grows and handles larger transaction volumes across countries, so does our exposure to fraud, credit risk, and compliance risk. This role owns the systems and strategies that protect Remote and its customers: Onboarding verification and screening Credit risk assessment and reserve management Fraud detection and enforcement across the full customer lifecycle You'll drive the evolution of our risk and compliance capabilities from reactive, rule-based controls toward proactive, automated systems that identify risk signals early and scale without proportional increases in manual effort. This is a high-autonomy, high-stakes role. You'll report to the Director of Product and work closely with Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Legal, Collections, and Engineering. Qualifications Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code is required. Ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code and prototypes. AI fluency with a point of view on how AI and automation can transform risk operations. Seasoned Product Manager with a track record on platform, API, or products for operational teams. Platform mindset to build systems others can extend. Strong UX sensibilities for risk and compliance tooling. Outstanding communication and collaboration skills. Data-driven decision-making with comfort in querying data and working with visualization tools. Fast learner with a growth mindset. Great judgment in making strategic and tactical decisions. Business-level proficiency writing and speaking English. Requirements Experience with risk/compliance platforms and third-party screening or fraud detection tooling (nice to have). Key Responsibilities Own credit risk assessment and reserve management. Drive the strategy for how Remote evaluates, scores, and mitigates credit risk. Own fraud detection and prevention controls. Own end-to-end onboarding compliance. Build flexible, platform-oriented systems. Partner with Collections and Treasury on risk reserves and enforcement actions. Lead a product team delivering high throughput and high ROI. Stakeholder management across risk, ops, and finance.
