About the role
As a technically strong and proactive Post-Silicon System Validation / Functional Validation Lead at Renesas, your role will involve driving the planning, execution, and debug of system-level validation of IP and SoC/MCU designs. Your contributions are critical in ensuring functional correctness, feature compliance, performance, and robustness of silicon devices across various scenarios and conditions. Key Responsibilities: - Lead post-silicon system and functional validation of complex SoCs/MCUs. - Develop and own validation plans, test strategies, and feature coverage matrices aligned with architecture and design specifications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify validation scope and execution path. - Set up bring-up environments on evaluation boards, FPGA/emulation platforms, and validation platforms. - Validate system functionality under different stress, corner, and performance scenarios. - Develop test content, tools, automation scripts, and firmware for system feature validation. - Drive silicon debug, root cause analysis, and corrective actions with design and DFT teams. - Analyze test logs, track bugs, and ensure closure through structured validation cycles. - Lead a team of validation engineers, assign tasks, and manage deliverables for tape-out schedules or customer milestones. - Prepare validation reports, functional coverage summaries, and risk assessments for tape-out or production release. Qualifications Required: - B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering. - 13+ years of experience in post-silicon validation, system validation, or embedded SoC bring-up. - Strong understanding of SoC architecture, ARM cores, peripherals, power/clock/reset, and low-power design techniques. - Experience with validating high-speed interfaces and standard protocols. - Proficiency in C/C++ or embedded programming for firmware development and test automation. - Hands-on experience with lab tools and validation frameworks. - Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. At Renesas, the company is a global semiconductor leader striving to develop a safer, healthier, greener, and smarter world. With a diverse team spread across more than 30 countries, Renesas is committed to fostering a work environment that supports diversity and inclusion.
