Business Intelligence Analyst

Role Overview: You will be responsible for data management and preparation, data analysis and reporting, technical and system management, collaboration and strategy in the role of Business Intelligence Analyst at Rentokil Initial Hygiene in Thane. Key Responsibilities: - Data Management and Preparation: - Data Sourcing & Integration: Identify and connect to various data sources such as databases (SQL, BigQuery), data warehouses, cloud services (Google Cloud), and flat files. - ETL/ELT Development: Design, build, and maintain ETL or ELT pipelines to move and prepare data for analysis. - Data Modelling: Structure and organise data into logical models within a data warehouse or data mart for optimal performance and reporting. - Data Quality and Cleansing: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by resolving errors, duplicates, and discrepancies. - Analysis and Reporting: - Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to answer key business questions. - Report and Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or Looker Studio. - KPI and Metric Tracking: Define KPIs with stakeholders and develop reports to track them against company goals. - Ad-Hoc Reporting: Fulfill specific data requests from business users and management to support immediate decision-making needs. - Technical and System Management: - BI Tool Administration: Manage the BI platform including user access. - Database Querying: Write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from relational databases. - Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve the performance of BI dashboards, reports, and underlying data queries. - Collaboration and Strategy: - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with departments to understand their needs and deliver insights. - Requirements Gathering: Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions. - Data Storytelling: Communicate complex findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications Required: - Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 1-2 years of experience working with BI platforms such as Looker Studio and QlikSense.
