About the role
Project Research Scientist IIT Indore IIT Indore, India, invites applications for the position of Project Research Scientist IIT Indore, a Project Research Scientist-II (Non-medical) in an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded research project entitled Design and development of Internet of Medical Things and AI-based mental health alert system with smartphone application using Ear-Electroencephalogram waves and Photoplethysmography vital physiological measurements. Project Objectives The main purpose of the project is to develop an AI-based data-driven multimodal system for the classification of mental health disorders using ear-based electroencephalogram (earEEG) and vital physiological measurements with electronic health records. The project requires knowledge of signal processing, machine learning, biomedical signal acquisition, Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems, programming (MATLAB, Python, etc.), and application development for smart devices. The project will be jointly investigated with Prof. Bhabesh Deka (Tezpur University, Assam) and Dr. Siddeswara Bargur Linganna (LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health, Assam). Responsibilities Develop signal processing and machine learning algorithms. Program in MATLAB and Python. Develop Internet-of-Things-based hardware for remote health monitoring. Develop application for smart devices. Eligibility and Qualifications Candidates must hold First Class Post Graduate degree, including integrated PG degrees, with three years of relevant experience or a Ph.D.; or Second Class Post Graduate degree, including integrated PG degrees, with a Ph.D. and three years experience. Position Details Fellowship: Rs. 67000 p.m. + HRA (as per norms). Appointment duration: 1 year, extendable up to three years pending satisfactory performance. Number of positions: 1.
